One of the significant objectives of Drugs & Cosmetics Act-1940 is to regulate the sale of drugs & under direct control of Commissioner FDCA, Gujarat State; it is being taken care of by various Circle Offices situated at district places of Gujarat.

With increasing population and industries, pollution in the cities has reached alarming levels. Today's sedentary life styles and the highly competitive work cultures cause high stress, taxing tension and high blood pressure. Naturopathy is one of the systems of medicine that can play a key role in freeing the human body from poisonous toxins through Yog, health and fitness related activities which create not only proper Physical, Mental and Spiritual balance but also necessary resistance and immunity for the Human being . Naturopathy or nature cure is a fully developed and scientific system based on the principles of the Swasthwritta- a branch of Ayurved. It utilizes the scientifically designed dietary principle in combination with Yog and physiotherapy for physical and mental health. The treatment through this system provides freedom from diseases and also gives relief by eliminating the cause of disease without any side- effects.

Naturopathy is a recognised Indian system of treatment. Govt. has given due weightage by providing grants-in-aid @ 90 % for the enhancement of Nature -cure. Yog is an ancient science of life. It avails 60 % Grant-in-aid .At present, in the state, following centres are run by private bodies.
